Mobile Wellness Practices:
In the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic and in conjunction with BC Health Services, we have enhanced our already rigorous safety and hygiene protocols.
WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE AND AFTER EVERY MOBILE WELLNESS BOOKING:
1. We will fully sanitize the waiting chairs/tables, replace the face towel on the massage chair and fully sanitize the massage chairs and all surfaces around the massage chairs.
2. We will thoroughly sanitize all tools and equipment (where applicable) with industry approved sterilizers and disinfectants.
3. We will (discreetly) temperature check every client prior to their massage treatment with a temporal (forehead) thermometer. (pending prior client approval)
4. We will always sanitize our hands immediately before and directly after a massage treatment.
5. We will wear a face mask with each client. We do this for your protection. Clients are encouraged to wear a mask as well however, we may ask clients to remove the mask temporarily if it becomes necessary.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT EACH MOBILE WELLNESS BOOKING:
1. All massage treatments will be pre-booked through one pre-determined client coordinator and a list of the bookings will be sent via email to Massage Minute within 48 hours of the mobile wellness group booking.
2. The client coordinator will pre-arrange the set up of a private space on-site that has healthy air circulation and enough square footage to comply with the social distancing guidelines within the BCHS.
3. One Massage Minute representative will coordinate the set up of the pre-arranged group booking space and (while wearing a face mask) will be responsible for checking in each client. (Clients are encouraged to arrive with their own personal face masks already on.)
The Massage Minute representative check in will include a one-on-one Covid assessment. Clients will be asked to sanitize their hands, and will also be asked to complete a simple screening questionnaire which will include their full name and telephone number. (This information is being collected for the clients' protection. In the very unlikely event of a Covid 19 incident at the location, the collected information will be shared with BCHS to aid in their efforts to accurately contact trace.)
If a client is exhibiting fever, cold or flu-like symptoms OR if they have traveled anywhere out of province/out of country in the past 14 days, OR if they have attended a location where there has been a recent outbreak of Covid 19 (less than 14 days), we request in advance that they please do not join the group booking.
4. One of the designated on-site Massage Practitioners will provide chair massage for the client for the pre-designated time. The client will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately following the massage treatment and leave the group booking space so the environment can be sanitized for the next client (or group of clients).
ADDITIONAL PRECAUTIONS:
1. The floor will be marked with temporary physical distancing markers and/or arrows to guide clients. Signage will be posted as a way of ensuring that both our team and clients are aware of the importance of maintaining great hand hygiene and a sanitary work environment.
2. Towels and other non-disposable items will be stored away to be washed after each use. Other items such as facial tissues and sanitary wipes will be disposed of immediately after use.
The importance of taking maximum precautions in “high touch” operations such as massage cannot be understated. Helping to restore our clients' wellness through safe mobile massage therapy is our commitment to you, our valued clients and friends.
